Ukraine children: School without measles vaccination – but only for a short time

It is mandatory that all children from the age of one when entering school or kindergarten have the two measles vaccinations recommended by the Standing Vaccination Commission (Stiko). The second vaccination should be carried out at the earliest four weeks after the first vaccination at the age of 15 to 23 months.

The law also applies to People who work in community facilities or medical facilities (e.g. educators, teachers) if these persons were born after 1970. Also Refugees must provide proof of vaccination protection four weeks after admission to shared accommodation.

Children who were already being cared for in kindergarten, school or other community facilities when the law came into force must provide proof by July 31, 2022. The same applies to personnel.
