A councilor from the Ukrainian city of Mariupol has accused Russia of using white phosphorous bombs -whose use against people is prohibited since 1997 by the Geneva Convention in the struggle for control of the town.
“Hell has come to earth, to Azovstal,” the councilor wrote this Sunday Petro Andruchenko in your Telegram account.
In videos that circulate on social networks, explosions at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol which, according to Anduchenko, would be from white phosphorus bombs.
White phosphorus bombs produce a fire that cannot be extinguished with water and its components stick to the skin of victimswhich can burn to the bone.

Survivors may have lifelong aftermath because the components of the bombs are highly toxic and can cause damage just by breathing them.
The Ukrainian authorities had previously accused Russia of using white phosphorous bombs in the attack on the population of Popasna.
