Less than 20% of the gas injected in summer remains in European underground storage facilities (UGS) of gas, Gazprom notes.
By January 29, the volume of active gas in UGS facilities in Europe turned out to be 27.3% (by 14.4 billion cubic meters) less than last year’s volume by the same date.
General filling level of UGS facilities in Europe was 39%, while UGS facilities in Germany and France were 37% and 36%, respectively.
Thus, by January 29, European countries had withdrawn 80.3% (38.4 billion cubic meters) of gas injected in summer.
Meanwhile, gas reserves in Ukraine’s underground storage facilities decreased by January 29 to 11.5 billion cubic meters, which is 46.1% (by 9.8 billion cubic meters) less than last year, and 3.8 billion cubic meters less than last year. start of download in April 2021
