UGent drastically reduces vegetarian offerings in student restaurants: “There’s no point in throwing away so much food” | Ghent

From October, the student restaurants of Ghent University will no longer offer half vegetarian meals. That was still the case this academic year, but to save costs, that offer will be reduced to 25 percent. “The vast majority of students opt for a non-vegetarian diet, throwing that food away creates a larger mountain of waste and a financial pit.”
