The amount in prizes maintains the figure of Euro 2022 with 28.25 million maximum prize
UEFA will distribute a total of 331 million euros among the teams participating in the Euro 2024 Championship in Germany, in which the maximum prize that the champion can achieve will be €28.25 million if they also win the three group stage matches.
The UEFA Executive Committee, meeting this Saturday in Hamburg before the competition draw, agreed on the financial prizes to be distributed among the qualified teams, which maintains the same level as that of Euro 2020.
As confirmed by UEFA, the fee to participate will be €9.25 million, each victory will mean €1 million and each tie will mean €500,000. Qualification for the round of 16 will receive a bonus of €1.5 million, for the quarterfinals with €2.5 million and for the semifinals with €4 million.
The runners-up of the tournament, which will be played from June 14 to July 14, will receive an additional payment of €5 million and the champions €8 million.
The maximum amount that the champion team can reach, if it wins all three games in its group, is €28.25 million.
In addition to the economic distribution for the Euro Cup, The Executive approved that the draw for the 2024-2025 Nations League will be held next February 8 in Paris, as well as the match schedule procedure.
The competition will start with its first day between September 5 and 7, the second will be played between the 8th and the 10th of the same month, the third between October 10 and 12, the fourth between October 13 and 15the fifth between November 14 and 16 and the sixth between November 17 and 19.
The Executive Committee in turn approved that Lithuania will be the organizer of the final phase of the Futsal Euro 2026, with Riga and Kaunas as venues for the competition.
The decisions taken on women’s football will affect the new format approved for the Champions League starting with the 2025-2026 season, as well as the Euro 2025 calendar. which will be played from July 2 to 27 in eight cities in Switzerland, and the cancellation of the 2024-205 Futsal Euro Cup edition. A 4-year cycle will be implemented instead, with the next final tournament in 2027 and eight teams instead of 4.
