Uefa, sanctions for Nantes, Sivasspor, Eintracht

The Disciplinary Commission has ordered fines and the closure of some sectors of the stadiums to the clubs faced by Serie A teams in cups. Here are the decisions

Heavy hand of UEFA, against the opponents of the Italians in the last round of the European cups. Sivasspor’s Hakan Arslan was given a three-match ban in international competition after being sent off in the match against Fiorentina for kicking Mandragora off the ground. In addition, the entire Kurve West, where the use of pyrotechnics occurred, will be closed for the next European tender. It’s not going too much better at Nantes, for the match against Juventus on 23 February. In that case, smoke bombs were lit and firecrackers also triggered the closure of a sector of the plant for the French, also considering a suspended sentence that dates back to November last year. The supporters were also found guilty of throwing objects, chanting offensive chants and invading the pitch, for a total fine of €68,000.

Trabzonspor (a 20,000 euro fine and suspended penalty of travel ban for one match), PSV (a 30,000 euro fine for pitch invasion and throwing objects), Partizan (121,000 euro fine for racist behaviour, smoke bombs, throwing objects, obstruction of passage and pitch invasion), Aek Larnaca (30,000 euro fine for smoke bombs and firecrackers), the Basel and Fenerbahce (both fined €44,000 for obstructing passage and throwing objects).
