Udenaar arrested for threatening Mark Rutte and inciting farmers protest

A 52-year-old man from Uden has been arrested for threatening Prime Minister Mark Rutte ‘in no uncertain terms’. This was reported by the police on Friday afternoon.

De Udenaar made the statements on social media. The police would not say exactly what he posted online, because the investigation is still ongoing. A spokesperson does say that the threats are ‘serious’.

During recent farmer protests, the man also called on supermarkets and distribution centers to be blocked. According to the police, this is sedition. This is inciting others to commit criminal offences.
