U2 have already played nine shows during their Las Vegas residency at the MSG Sphere – 15 concerts will follow this year. But apparently the Irish rock band is not yet ready to leave the stage of the innovative concert location. On October 18th, the group announced that they wanted to extend their residency next year. Now the dates of the new shows have been announced.
Between January 26th and February 18th, 2024, U2 will light up the screens of the spherical concert hall in Las Vegas for eleven more performances. Pre-sales for the newly announced “U2:UV Warning Baby Live At Sphere” tickets begin on Thursday, October 19th. The general sale will then follow on October 25th Ticketmaster.
Bono and The Edge recently announced that they have a few new songs in the pipeline that they plan to release in the near future. In a recent video documentary, the U2 guitarist tells Apple Music presenter Zane Lowe about their future plans: “Well, I think: new music, new pieces. There’s a lot we’ve already finished and some that still needs a bit of dusting off but will be done soon. I’m telling you, we have some great new songs. Really exciting.”
