U17 World Cup: Germany advances to the round of 16 as group winners

USA or France are waiting

After a 3-0 (2-0) win against Venezuela, the German juniors moved into the round of 16 of the U17 World Cup in Indonesia as undefeated group winners. The highlights of the game can be seen for free on FIFA+. Robert Ramsak with an early goal in the first minute and Eric da Silva Moreira (42nd) shortly before half-time made everything clear for coach Christian Wück’s team. In the second half, Ramsak (57th) added a second goal (See all goals on FIFA+ | Advertisement).

After their third win in the third and final group game, Germany finished Group F with nine points ahead of Mexico (four points), which beat Venezuela, who had the same number of points, due to a better goal difference. New Zealand remained last without any points. The best two nations in the six groups as well as the four best third-placed teams qualify for the round of 16.
