U.S. NHL men’s v-curve on the peg – An embarrassing balance drew silence

The loss stung the USA players, but the opponent was praised.

The awkward balance of the United States in the World Hockey Championships continues. The team has never once reached the finals of the World Cup tournament in its current form.

Since 1994, the country has played 12 times in the semi-finals and lost each of them.

– We have been knocking on the door for a long time. We’ve been really close. It will happen. We had a great chance today, but unfortunately it didn’t work out, the team’s head coach David Quinn said.

The team members have shown during the tournament that they know their historical balance, but for the players the statistics were too hard to swallow after the lost semifinal.

– I don’t know what to say, 823 NHL regular season games and two Stanley Cups Nick Bonino said about the “curse” of the semi-finals.

– I don’t know what it is, the Tampa Bay Lightning Michael Eyssimont on the other hand, Tokaise.

The so-called foxing was visible far from the players.

Kudos to Germany

However, the players gave full credit to Germany, who advanced to the final.

– Germany was the best team we have faced in this tournament. A deserved win. This hurts, Bonino said.

– Good luck to Germany in the gold medal game. We’re trying to get bronze, but this is hard to digest, Eyssimont grumbled.

Head coach Quinn also gave praise to the opponent, who said that he thought after the game against Germany in the first group that the teams might meet again.

– They played really well. A strong and well-structured team, Quinn said.

The USA convincingly won eight matches in a row in the tournament and led the semifinals first 2–0 and then 3–2.

The pick-up came when Germany equalized 1.5 minutes before the end and decided in overtime.

– Today we were not as good as we would have liked. Maybe youth showed in these conditions and pressures. This is really disappointing. The team and the direction of the team felt good.
