Tyson Fury is actually in boxing retirement. However, it could pull the heavyweight world champion back into the ring. Statements by promoter Bob Arum make you sit up and take notice.
Is Tyson Fury about to make a comeback? “Tyson Fury is retired and he will remain retired until we get to him with the next big event and then he will come out of retirement,” promoter Bob Arum said on Fight Hype, making fans of the self-proclaimed ” Gypsy King” with it hope.
Fury: “I’m out, completely resigned. Done.”
Fury had declared his career over after beating Dilian Whyte in April. He wanted to “chill with the family and enjoy the rest of my life,” the 33-year-old told talkSPORT.
“I have to take the kids to school, take the garbage to the bin, wash my cars, cut my hair, shave, vacuum and clean,” Fury outlined his new everyday life and added: “I’m outside, completely resigned. Done.”
A fight against the boxing giants Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk could probably make Fury rethink. “I think Fury will wait and see how the fight between Joshua and Usyk ends and then he will decide whether he wants to continue,” Arum ventured a forecast.
Joshua before rematch against world champion Usyk
Joshua promoter Eddie Hearn recently fueled rumors about a possible top fight on Instagram. “I think you’re going to see Joshua against Fury whatever happens, honestly,” said the 42-year-old.
First of all, Joshua wants to win back his world title against Usyk. “AJ” lost to the Ukrainian on points in London last September. July 23rd was repeatedly traded as a possible date for the rematch.
