Amsterdam Pirates successfully completed the first weekend in the Holland Series. The baseball players also won the second game (3-1) for the national championship against Neptunus. The North Hollanders are now in good shape in the best-of-seven series.
Pirates started the second game in the Holland Series with confidence. Yesterday they won convincingly with 1-6 in Rotterdam. At its own Loek Loevendie Ballpark, Pirates took the lead in the second inning. In the fourth inning the margin was already three in favor of the Amsterdam team. Neptunus only managed to score one run in the game, meaning Pirates also won the second game: 3-1.
The baseball players will continue with the Holland Series in the coming weeks. The first club to achieve four wins will walk away with the national title. Last year, HCAW from Bussum could call itself the best baseball club in the Netherlands.
