The animals eventually dive into the water and swim away without harming anyone. The TikTok video is causing a lot of laughter and funny comments. But also for skeptical reactions: why can people get so close to sea lions?
Charlianne Yeyna, who made the video, tells NBC that the animals were initially sleeping. “A woman came very close. Then they woke up and started running.” She started recording because she said she found it “very funny to watch, because I saw all those tourists being blown away by the giant sea lions,” Yeyna said.
The video has since been viewed millions of times.
