Two people from Pessen (12 and 19) died in a traffic accident in German Meppen

Two residents of Pesse died last night in a traffic accident in Meppen, Germany, just across the border from Emmen. It concerns a 19-year-old driver and a 12-year-old passenger.

The Pessenaren drove on the B402 towards the Netherlands. When the driver wanted to overtake, he collided head-on with an oncoming truck. He and the co-driver died on the spot of their injuries, the German police said.

The 59-year-old truck driver was in shock and received mental support on the spot.
