Two people have died tonight in a fire that occurred in a restaurant from Plaza Manuel Becerra in Madrid and eight have been injured, some of a serious nature, according to EFE sources from Madrid Emergencies.
Firefighters have rescued several people, customers and workers from the establishment, located at number 16 of the aforementioned Madrid square, and have extinguished the fire.
The same sources have added that, at this time, the emergency services do not know where the origin of the fire is, which, according to what they have said, spread “very fast” through the ceiling.
The firefighters, Samur-Civil Protection and Summa 112 participate in the operation.
