To Messi or brother Kylian?
In mid-June, Eden Hazard declared that he wanted to think about his sporting future during the upcoming vacation. “I may quit, but I may not do it. Physically, I’m definitely still able to continue,” emphasized Hazard after the premature end of his engagement at Real Madrid. According to reports, two concrete options have opened up for the 32-year-old offensive player. How “Relevo” reported, Inter Miami would like to convince the Belgian of a transfer to the USA.
RWD Molenbeek had previously positioned themselves as an alternative. When promoted to the Jupiler Pro League, Hazard would meet his brother Kylian (27). In terms of market value, the two players are no longer very far apart: after numerous devaluations, Eden is now valued at 5 million euros, while Kylian is at 800,000 euros.
Eden Hazard, who held his previous record value – 150 million euros – in autumn 2018, has not yet made a final decision with his family. The legal footer doesn’t want to rush anything, but first wants to enjoy the peace and quiet with his family.
Hazard next La Liga star for Inter Miami en route to revival club?
Inter Miami is fast becoming a revival club of former La Liga stars. After the commitments of Lionel Messi (36) and Sergio Busquets (34), there was also speculation about a possible change of former Barcelona professional Jordi Alba (34) and ex-Real defender Sergio Ramos (37).
Hazard, who switched from Chelsea to Real Madrid in 2019 for €115m, is one of the candidates for the role of designated player in Miami. These players may be paid salaries that are not limited by the salary cap customary in US sports. In the future, the current bottom of the table in the Eastern Conference will be coached by Argentinian Gerardo Martino. Regarding the alternative in Belgium, Hazard recently said, when asked about the transfer rumours: “You read a lot of stupid things … RWDM? I don’t know it. We will see.”
Overall, Hazard has seven goals and 12 assists in 76 games for Real and 110 goals and 92 assists in 352 games for Chelsea between 2012 and 2019. So far, only twelve other professionals have achieved a market value of at least 150 million euros.
