Both Noppert and Van Duijvenbode have never reached the eighth finals of the UK Open. For Noppert, the adventure continues for a while. Tomorrow are the quarter- and semi-finals and also the final. Last year, the Englishman James Wade was the winner.

Defending champion Wade produced a nine-darter in the eighth finals. The Englishman threw the perfect leg against the Croat Boris Krcmar and that’s how The Machine made the crowd go crazy in Minehead. This afternoon Michael van Gerwen lost, which meant he had to give up third place in the world ranking to Wade and dropped to fourth place.
Less than half an hour after Wade had thrown a nine-darter, compatriot Michael Smith did it. bullyboy managed to beat the Austrian Mensur Suljovic.
