London post-punk band Dry Cleaning have released two new songs, ‘Swampy’ and ‘Sombre Two’, and have announced their EP ‘Swampy’ for March 1st.

The new release that gives the EP its title is also characterized by the slightly melodic spoken word of singer Florence Shaw. The second release comes without any vocals at all, focusing on Thomas Paul Dowse’s distorted electric guitar.

“These two songs were recorded during the Stumpwork sessions and feel like they go well together,” shared Dry Cleaning. “They share a desolate and wacky atmosphere. On the eve of the release, we toured the Southwest where the songs felt at home in the arid, Martian-like landscape of the Arizona desert.”

The quartet’s EP will consist of five songs. In addition to the two new releases, there will be remixes of “Hot Penny Day” and “Gary Ashby” from last year’s album, as well as the demo “Peanuts”. “Stumpwork”, the name of the album, was released last October, they’ve been on tour with it since January and will play five concerts in Germany in March. On March 18th in Hamburg, on March 22nd in Offenbach, the next day in Munich, on 28.3. in Leipzig and on March 29 in Berlin. The Ticket pre-sale already running.
