The Public Prosecution Service (OM) suspects two 55-year-old men of causing a fatal traffic accident on the A28 near Beilen last Friday. A 56-year-old motorcyclist from Amersfoort was killed in that accident.
One of the men – from Mill – stopped his truck on the A28 around 3 p.m. that day. A collision occurred in the traffic jam behind the lorry, in which a 55-year-old driver without a fixed place of residence or residence and a motorcyclist collided with each other.
The investigation into the fatal accident is still ongoing. The investigation has yet to determine how the accident happened. As a result, the Public Prosecution Service does not want to draw any conclusions yet. Both suspects were interrogated last weekend and released. Their driver’s licenses have been confiscated. The men remain suspects in this investigation.
Farmers’ action group Agractie called on the Dutch to show solidarity with the farmers by stopping work for 15 minutes on Friday 15 July at 3 p.m. Traffic was shut down on highways in several places in the country.
