The police arrested two men on Wednesday morning in connection with arsons in Nuland in September last year. They are a 32-year-old man from Boxtel and a 41-year-old man from Rotterdam. The police are investigating their precise role in the arsons.
In September 2023, Molotov cocktails were thrown at a home and cars of a family on the Akkerpolei in the Schotsheuvel district. The house did not catch fire, but one of the cars did go up in flames.
According to the police, it was a ‘very dangerous’ situation because four adults, a toddler and a newborn baby were in the house at the time. The arrests followed after images were shown in Bureau Brabant and Opsporing Verzocht.
These will remain online, the police say, “until there is more clarity about the possible role that both arrested suspects played in the arson, serious intimidation and serious threats to the family.”
