Two lion players received departure passes from Sweden

Finnish ice hockey players Jani Lajunen32, and Kristian Visible32, will not continue in Sweden in the ranks of Örebro.

The club, which plays in the SHL, i.e. Sweden’s highest league level, announced the matter on Friday.

Näkyvä played in Örebro for five seasons. In the past season, the Finnish team scored 7+29 in 52 regular season matches, the balance was 1+5 in the playoffs.

He was the team’s third most effective player in the regular season.

– Over the course of five years, he has strongly influenced what the club is today. We thank Kristian for his contribution to the club and wish him a good career, Örebro’s sports director Niklas Eriksson commented in the announcement.

Lajunen moved from Switzerland to Örebroho in the fall of 2021. The Finnish center scored five goals and provided 16 assists in 48 regular season matches.

– Jani is a player who really came to work every day. A team player who only got better as the season progressed. Jani was an important player with his experience, Eriksson described.

Näkyvä left Finland in 2015, after which he has represented several Swedish clubs and the AHL team Milwaukee Admirals for one season. In the league, he played for JYP and Blues.

The defender has played 23 A national matches.
