In Italy, doctors have removed a two-kilogram tumor from the liver of a ten-month-old girl. The operation took place at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome and lasted about six hours. At the time of the operation, about two months ago, the girl weighed eight kilos. In other words, the tumor was good for a quarter of her body weight.
