Three cars were involved in a collision on the N33 near Deurze on Saturday evening just after nine o’clock. Two passengers were injured.
Nothing is known about the cause of the accident. One vehicle ended up in the guardrail, while another went into the guardrail and a van came to a stop in the right lane. All three cars sustained minor damage.
Two ambulances were on the scene. Both victims were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
The road is temporarily closed between Rolde and Assen. Traffic is being diverted around the accident.
