On a parallel road of the Engineer WIC van Veelenweg (N378) near Gasselternijveen, two people were injured in an accident tonight. According to the police, the incident happened with ‘a vehicle’. Bystanders report that it is a quad or trike.
One of the two victims is in serious condition, police said.
Emergency services were called around 8 p.m. A trauma helicopter landed next to the police and the ambulance service to provide assistance. Part of the N378 is closed due to police investigation. It is still unclear how the accident happened.
