Two emergency villages almost ready, 13 others are no longer needed: “20,000 places for 3,000 people with housing shortage”

The emergency village in Antwerp is already open, that of Mechelen – both good for 600 Ukrainian refugees – will open on Thursday, but the other 13 planned container villages will not be there for the time being. Because the need is not that great after all. “There are 20,000 reception places in Flanders alone, while we only have to help 3,000 refugees with housing shortages.”
