The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has registered late this Monday an earthquake of magnitude 3.9 with an epicenter southeast of the town of Malagato of benalmadena without causing personal or material damage. This is the second earthquake recorded in the province in less than 24 hours.
According to the information published on the IGN website, consulted by Europa Press, the earthquake was registered at 10:30 p.m. with an epicenter in Benalmádena at a depth of 71 kilometers and was felt with intensity III in Málaga capital.

The IGN recorded another earthquake of magnitude 4.1 in the early hours of Monday with an epicenter in Malaga that was felt in several municipalities of the province without causing personal or material damage. Specifically, this earthquake was felt with intensity III in Fuengirola, Mijas and Málaga capital and with intensity II in Rincón de la Victoria and Casabermeja.
