The boat, Vilaboa 1, homeported in Santander, sank off the coast of Cantabria at 5:30 am. Ten crew members were on board: seven were rescued, one is missing and two are dead, the president of the northern Spanish region, Miguel Ángel Revilla, wrote on Twitter.
According to local media, one of the deceased is from Santander, the other has Ghanaian nationality. The search for the missing person continues.
