Two cyclists seriously injured after collision with motorcycle
When a 55-year-old motorcyclist from Wevelgem wanted to cross a group of cycling tourists in the Vijfstraat in Pittem, things went wrong. Two cyclists fell and sustained serious injuries. The victims, a 49-year-old cycling tourist from Damme and a 55-year-old cycling tourist from Beernem, were cared for on site by the MUG service. They were then transferred to the Sint-Andries hospital in Tielt. The motorcyclist was also injured in the accident and was also taken to hospital. None of them were in mortal danger.
