Two motorists collided head-on on Wednesday morning after two cars tried to overtake a tractor via the other half of the road. The accident happened on the Diepveldenweg (near the Hooge Berkt) in Bergeijk.
The lead car collided head-on with an oncoming car on the opposite side of the road.
It was two cars that wanted to overtake the tractor. They did this on a section of road with a median strip about thirty meters long. They could therefore no longer turn right when the car approached from the opposite direction.

One passenger was injured in the impact and taken to hospital. It is not clear which car this person was in. The road is partially closed for investigation. Police diverted traffic.
The second overtaking car was also damaged, the driver grazing his predecessor at the rear.
