It is striking that six of those fifteen addresses are in Brussels. These are Kline in Brussels, St Kilda in Uccle, Le Variétés in Ixelles, ANJU in Sint-Gillis, L’épicerie Nomad in Ixelles and Yoka Tomo in Schaarbeek. In Flanders, two Bruges restaurants have been awarded, Onslow and Quatre Vins, and Furbetto in Heverlee near Leuven. The six other newcomers are in Wallonia.
“These businesses promote the philosophy of offering a great meal for a moderate price. It does not matter whether this is in the form of mezze, tapas or a classic three-course menu,” explains Werner Loens, selection director of the Michelin Guides in the Benelux , out. “The restaurants that are awarded a Bib Gourmand this year demonstrate that they do not adhere to one style or concept, but do have one constant: damn good food.”
The Michelin stars for 2024 will be presented in Antwerp within two weeks.
