Two brothers to hospital after CO poisoning in Waregem

There was initially a call for an unconscious patient in a house in the Fabrieksstraat in Waregem this morning. Measurements showed that the CO values ​​in the house were much too high. By the way, there was someone else in the house, but he was still conscious. They are two brothers in their 70s.

The brothers were taken to hospital and are now on the mend.

Firefighters ventilated the house. They also removed the wood-burning stove from the house: the CO poisoning may have been caused by poor combustion in that wood-burning stove.
