The government of the Netherlands is in talks with municipalities to see whether a more flexible approach can be taken to the realization of childcare on farms, for example. Many farmers are looking for other activities now that their income may be (partly) lost due to the stricter nitrogen rules. But farmers now run into all kinds of rules, such as zoning plans that first have to be changed.
