Two arrested after car theft at daycare in Emmen

A 27-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man from Emmen were arrested today for possible involvement in a burglary last night at a daycare center in Emmen. During that burglary, a company car from the daycare center was stolen.

In addition, other goods were also stolen, the police reported. Due to the ongoing investigation into the exact loot, no announcements will be made at this time. The daycare center itself does not want to comment now, an employee reports.

In any case, a white Fiat Panda from the daycare center was stolen during the burglary, reports the South East Drenthe police team, which also shares a photo of this car.

“In the ongoing investigation, the possible involvement of the two people we have now arrested is being further investigated,” said police spokesperson Thijs de Jong. Video footage from the vicinity of the daycare center will be used in that investigation.
