The Spanish police have arrested two key figures of the Belgian-Dutch drug mafia on the Costa del Sol. The two organized cocaine transports from Brazil to Antwerp and Rotterdam. They were arrested during searches in luxury homes in Marbella. Seven people were also arrested in house searches in our country and in the Netherlands.

The action of the Guardia Civil took place in collaboration with the Belgian and Dutch police. The investigation began after a total of 3.8 tons of cocaine was discovered in four containers containing coffee beans and soy flour in the course of 2020 and 2021 in Antwerp and Rotterdam.

The police were able to link the organizers of the shipments to places of residence along the Costa del Sol. The organization consisted of Belgians and Dutchmen who shipped cocaine from Brazil to Antwerp and Rotterdam. The Spanish police were called in to locate the top men.

The Guardia Civil discovered that the two key figures stayed in a luxurious urbanization in the fashionable resort of Marbella. After the entire gang was mapped out, Spanish police raided it and arrested the two drug lords.

At the same time, seven other gang members were arrested during house searches in our country and the Netherlands. Luxury cars and mobile terminals with important information were also seized.
