Twitter users want Snoop Dogg as CEO instead of Elon Musk

Snoop Dogg started a poll on Twitter on Tuesday – with clear results. Alluding to the previous survey by Twitter boss Elon Musk, he asked his more than 20 million followers: “Should I Run Twitter?” The answer was clear: almost 3.4 million votes were cast, 81 percent of them chose a clear ” yes”.

However, there is no question that Snoop Dogg is seriously considering the post. The rapper and entrepreneur has enough other things to do besides his cannabis consumption. For example, earlier this year he took over Death Row Records. In November, he was nominated for an induction into the 2023 Songwriter’s Hall Of Fame. He and Universal Pictures also announced that they are collaborating on a biopic about the rapper’s life. An album and various features also dropped in 2022.

The richest person in the world and new Twitter boss Elon Musk has been criticized for some time because of his corporate policies. He recently made headlines, for example, because he is said to have blocked various Twitter accounts belonging to journalists who had previously reported critically about him. When he took office, he declared freedom of expression to be his highest priority. When he asked Monday whether he should step down as Twitter boss (and follow the lead), out of around 17.5 million followers, 57.5 percent opted for Musk to leave. He didn’t resign, but publicly thought about only allowing users with a verified (and paid) blue tick to take part in surveys in the future. Supposedly, among other things, to be able to better exclude bots.

If Musk had his way, he would basically let Snoop Dogg take his place. On Tuesday night, he tweeted: “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone stupid enough to take the job.”
