Twitter recently added an option to Shops to make it easier to find and follow the products most anticipated by the community. This feature called Product Drops offers customers the opportunity to subscribe and receive reminder notifications when items are released.
One more feature for Twitter Shops
Despite its huge coverage, Twitter has long sidelined merchant supports on its app. Since March, some brands have been able to create Shops and offer their products. The company continues to develop this functionality with Product Drops.
The United States’ strategy to democratize the use of electric vehicles
Available to sellers, it lets you announce the upcoming launch of a product. Buyers can then subscribe and receive a reminder activating the “Remind me” option. It will finally take care of sending a notification 15 minutes before, and at the time of the launch.
Essential commercial support for merchants
Product Drops is not just a reminder. It is an additional marketing tool to attract new customers. After registration, users have the opportunity to discover the product sheet, the price as well as the opinions of members of the community. When merchants post with Product Drops, their tweets are likely to get more engagement.
On the other hand, it still does not allow direct purchase of the product. An option “Buy on the site” takes care of the redirection to the address of the merchant site.
A feature being tested
Currently, Product Drops is being tested in the United States. It is only available for purchasers using the English version app on iOS. At the same time, the company works exclusively with selected brands, such as Dior and Lego Group.
