Last New Year claimed 773 fireworks victims, an increase of 102 percent compared to last year. This was revealed on Wednesday from a study by knowledge center SafetyNL in collaboration with doctors and surgeons. Although there was a fireworks ban for the second year in a row, the permitted ‘children’s fireworks’ also led to many injuries.
