A 22-year-old from Gooik is currently in jail after he opened fire on a young family in the province of Liège. The suspect had been missing since Saturday night and had left a suicide note. “There must be something broken in his head,” the father sighs. “Our son is definitely not a monster – he’s the nicest boy I know. But because of his autism, he has been humiliated and bullied all his life. He was tired of being called ‘autistic mongrel’.”
