Twenties try to rob French casino with fake bomb belt | Abroad

A man has tried to rob a casino in Enghien-les-Bains (near Paris) with a fake bomb belt.

The 24-year-old entered the casino at around 2 p.m. He was wearing what appeared to be a bomb belt, police said. He then threatened the cashier and broke the safety glass of the counter.

The local security guards were able to talk into the robber and overpower him. They already assumed that the bomb vest was fake. This turned out to be the case after research. The man was arrested by the police.

There were about 200 people in the gaming room of the casino at the time. The hall was cleared. One of those present jumped down from the first floor in panic, but was unharmed.
