Twelve swearing young people were expelled from Efteling by the police

The police expelled a group of annoying young people from Efteling on Tuesday morning. It involved a group of twelve young people who harassed visitors and employees. They scolded them and were so annoying that it bothered other guests. When security wanted to evict them from the park and the young people did not listen, the police were called.

According to an Efteling spokesperson, the young people, aged about twenty, had been causing a nuisance throughout the park for a few hours. “We received reports from employees that something was going on in the park. They did not behave properly towards other guests and employees and it bothered people,” says Steven van Gils.

It was striking that the young people walked around the park with a supervisor, but he also did not intervene. Security guards therefore intervened and asked the group to leave the park. When they refused, the police were called.

The police expelled the group from the park. According to the Efteling spokesperson, that went without any problems. Van Gils: “In the end it was resolved peacefully, but it is always a shame when the police have to be involved.” The young people were not fined and were not arrested.
