In the Reestlanden residential facility – part of the Cosis care institution – on the Reestlaan in Meppel, three apartments were completely destroyed by a major fire on Tuesday night. The fire started in an adjacent wooden building. Twelve residents of the adjoining building of residential institution Noorderboog were evacuated at 1:45 am as a precaution.
