TV tip: ProSieben shows “The Dark Knight”

In The Dark Knight, Batman faces off against the ruthless Joker. ProSieben will show the blockbuster on February 25, 2022 at prime time.

The Dark Knight is the second part of Christopher Nolen’s Batman trilogy. As the film begins, it seems like the days of organized crime in Gotham City are numbered thanks to Batman, played here by Christian Bale. He also finds another strong ally in the fight against crime in District Attorney Harvey Dent. Dent is already known as the “white knight” of the city, as he is responsible for the conviction of numerous criminals.

But with the Joker, a new, dangerous opponent appears. Gotham City has spawned many sinister figures, but the Joker is different. Because the nihilistic and grotesquely made-up clown is not interested in wealth or power. Instead, the Joker wants to plunge Gotham into anarchy. That’s why he’s also targeting the heroic prosecutor Harvey Dent, whose decent attitude he’s trying to drive out.

In The Dark Knight, the Joker is portrayed by Heath Ledger. In preparation for the role, Ledger locked himself in his room for six weeks, creating his version of the Joker. He also designed the Joker’s mask himself. The Dark Knight will be the last film to feature Ledger in a full role. He died a short time later at the age of 28 from a drug overdose. A year after his death, on January 22, 2009, Ledger was posthumously awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the role.

ProSieben shows the superhero drama on February 25 at 8:15 p.m.
