What would the Beatles have been without Freda Kelly? At least often quite stuck with tasks that musicians traditionally find difficult.
Freda first saw the Fab Four at Liverpool’s Cavern Club. It was there that Beatles manager Brian Epstein became aware of them and hired them to organize the band’s fan club, which in no time at all was flooded with inquiries. With great empathy – and with the heart of a real Beatles fan – Freda, who was not yet of legal age at first, looked after the requests and inquiries of the fans.
In just over a decade, the secretary witnessed the Liverpool group’s rise to pop culture icon status. But she also had to witness how the musicians eventually stopped getting along and finally broke up.
TV Tip: “Paul McCartney – A Beatles Legend”
“In the Anteroom of the Beatles” is the story of Freda Kelly and how she played her part in making the Beatles known to every child today. A documentation as a historical document, in which numerous pictures are shown that have not been seen before.
