A huge cloud of smoke hung over East Berlin and was still visible from afar. Hours later it turns out that the cause could have been a small device…

On Thursday evening, shortly after 6 p.m., a gazebo on Hohenschönhauser Strasse in the allotment garden in Prenzlauer Berg caught fire.

Two hours later, around 8 p.m., the fire brigade is still on site with 36 forces. The arbor burned down completely. The resident was able to get to safety in time.

According to BZ information, the cause of the fire is probably a technical defect in a television! This should have imploded.

A specialist commissioner of the Berlin police will start investigating the exact cause of the fire after the extinguishing work has been completed.
