The first broadcast of the 21st season will be broadcast on Boxing Day. For the first time in years, the knowledge quiz will be shown four days a week, one day less than previous editions. The viewing hit also changes channels, from NPO 2 to NPO 1. It will be broadcast there every Monday to Thursday immediately after the NOS Journaal from 8 p.m.
On Friday evening, NPO 1 opted for the AVROTROS show Looking for grease. In this program, Frits Sissing is looking for actors who can play Danny and Sandy, the main roles of the musical Grease. Earlier, the broadcaster went looking for Evita, Joseph, Mary Poppins, Zorro and Maria (in The Sound of Music).
The smartest person, which attracted an average of 1.7 million viewers last season, is on the tube for seven weeks. The makers have renewed the decor. The audience sits in semicircles around the stage. The final will be broadcast on Friday. That will be on Friday 10 February. The previous season was won by comedian and columnist Jasper van Kuijk. He smuggled his goblet to Sweden, the country where he emigrated with his family.
