Rick Brandsteder’s TV career gets a major boost. He may succeed Kaj Gorgels as host of Expedition Robinson, which is one of the biggest hits of RTL 4 after last season.
Until now Rick Brandsteder mainly made programs on the smaller channels, such as Temptation Island and Zon Zuipen Hospital on RTL 5. Now he is put on the flagship: RTL 4. He can present the TV hit Expeditie Robinson together with Nicolette Kluijver. The previous presenter Kaj Gorgels stops because he would be too busy.

Rick Brandsteder himself participated in Expedition Robinson years ago and always saw it as a dream to present the program: “A dream come true! After having camped out as an expedition member on a desert island for a month in 2014, it is a great honor to be on the other side now.”
He continues: “I am in good hands of dear friend and experienced presenter Nicolette Kluijver. Another adventure I wouldn’t have wanted to miss!”

Nicolette Kluijver has been presenting Expedition Robinson since 2014, the season of Rick’s participation, and is looking forward to the adventure with her new co-presenter: “Of course I will miss Kaj! Rick and I are now going to make this all our own. Rick is a great colleague and friend.”
She continues: “We will do our very best with the entire team to make the most beautiful expedition ever. We are very excited about it.”

Kaj regrets that he is no longer with us, but is happy that he has time for other ‘projects’. “It was a dream to present Expedition Robinson, but unfortunately the recordings cannot be combined with my other projects.”
He concludes: “I wish the candidates, crew, Rick and Nicolette a lot of fun and success with this beautiful format. I’m going to look on the couch every week in the old-fashioned way.”
