TV appearance Rolf Sanchez goes wrong

It seems like a farce: Rolf Sanchez saw his musical performance with Humberto Tan go terribly wrong last night, right after a story about his temporary fear of failure and mental struggles.

Psychological problems are undeniably very annoying, but all those celebrities who immediately feel interesting enough to talk about it for twenty minutes at a talk show table and then also add a whole ‘documentary series’ to it… Of course it’s downright me -sigh. And Rolf Sanchez is also participating.

Menu stress

Rolf sat at the table with Humberto Tan yesterday to relax. Everything nice out. He really had a whole story about how he couldn’t choose which dish he wanted in a restaurant, that he couldn’t love his girlfriend because he couldn’t love himself, that he wasn’t who he wanted to be anymore and felt like a failure onstage.

To make matters worse, his vocal cords also started to fail him. They had a burnout. Or he had a burnout and that affected his vocal cords. Something like that anyway. And then fear of failure ensued. Now that’s all over. Humberto’s final question sums it all up: “Do you dare to choose again in a restaurant?”

Rolf’s earpiece

And? And? Yes. Rolf dares to choose again. Lovely. Well, that boy finally gets off Humberto’s couch, walks to the stage and then it immediately goes wrong. “Oh wait a minute, wait a minute, I took my earpiece out.”

Humberto: “You know you’re in the middle of the studio right now in front of the camera, right? Does not matter. We’ll all wait. When you’re ready, I’m going to announce you one more time. That’s better for the applause. Just say yes.”

Rolf once in his place: “Just do it now!”

TV miss

Rolf then starts to sing, but no one hears it. What seems? After that whole story about his temporary fear of failure and his stage fright, the technique simply lets him down. Jeez, jeez, jeez. Then you will be standing with your mouth full of veneers for a while. Rolf immediately raises his finger: “I can’t hear anything!”

Humberto: “Rolf, just a minute, huh? Look, we just talked at length about losing a voice and having to make choices in life… But you didn’t mention one thing! The technique! That sometimes goes wrong! For the people at home: this is not Rolf’s fault, this is not his voice. What we’re going to do is: we’re going to turn the knobs and we’re going to sing later!”

“Oh, you’re alive!”

After the commercial, Rolf will still sing his song Ik Denk Aan Jo and the announcement immediately shows that Humberto was not really paying attention during the singer’s emo. When he lists who Rolf is going to sing about, Humberto remarks: “He also thinks of Ruud, his manager who is unfortunately no longer there.”

Eh, manager Ruud is just three chairs away. “Oh, was it you? I’m glad you’re still alive!”
