Turull puts PSOE and PP in the same bag and demands the referendum as a condition for Sánchez

A few hours from the decisive face to face between Alberto Nuñez Feijóo and Pedro Sanchezthe general secretary of together, Jordi Turull, has equated the strategies of the PP and PSOE with the political conflict in Catalonia. According to the post-convergent leader, neither one party nor the other have made “any serious proposal” in this area and, although he acknowledges that the PSOE’s “words” are “better”, he considers that the “fund is the same.” “They will fight a lot, but if they ask about Catalonia, they will agree. The publicity will last longer than the debate,” he ironized, waiting for the television confrontation.

With this approach, in a conference at the Tribuna Barcelona forum, Turull has rejected the discourse of fear in the face of the “reactionary wave” and has assured that these elections are not going “to stop PP and Vox”, but to “stop” the strategy of the State against Catalonia, for which it has presented the 23-J elections as a “turning point” in relationships. “You no longer go on credit, you have to pay in advance,” said the post-convergent leader, who has put the amnesty and the referendum as conditions before a possible investiture to Pedro Sanchez. “If it wants us to understand each other, Catalonia has to be able to decide its future,” Turull stated.

Thus, Turull has presented Junts as the “useful vote” of the independence movement and has assured that the strategy of “uncritical support” has not given the expected results. In a direct message to ERC, although without “gloating”, Turull has criticized the dialogue table and has warned that they do not agree to anything “without real guarantees of compliance”. “If we are decisive in Madrid, it will not be to whitewash this state. We need all the strength,” he added.

According to the post-convergent leader, the political conflict not only has it not been resolved, but it has “increased and become chronic” since 2017. And, once again putting popular and socialists in the same bag, he has reproached both for the “rains of millions always end in breaches“, that the Catalan school is “systematically questioned” or that the Congress “approves laws that are laminated the own competences of Catalonia”.

In addition, he has predicted that there will be a “grand coalition” of PP and PSOE after the elections and, in this sense, he has raised the elections as a “cotton test” for the Socialists. Thus, in a conference that he has had the presence of the Junts staff, Turull has also shot at Add by the investiture pact in the city council of Barcelona. “They have no objection to stopping everything that comes from Catalonia and the independence movement,” he lamented.
