About 20 percent of the eligible voters in Drenthe have now voted during the municipal elections. This is evident from the figures published by eight municipalities in Drenthe. The votes cast today, as well as from Monday and Tuesday are included in this.
Of the municipalities that have published the turnout figures, Tynaarlo and Assen stand out. In that first municipality, at least 31 percent voted. In Assen this is 30 percent.
The turnout percentage in Coevorden, Aa en Hunze, Borger-Odoorn, Emmen and Hoogeveen is about 20 percent, according to figures published earlier today.
Meppel below average
The turnout figure is lowest in Meppel, with a percentage of about 15 percent. Four municipalities have not yet published numbers. These are Westerveld, Noordenveld, De Wolden and Central Drenthe.
