Turkish workers replace victims of human trafficking on industrial estate in Deurne: “It’s not bad here, it’s enough”

There are already new workers in the apartments on the industrial estate in Deurne. Earlier, 55 Filipinos and Bangladeshis were removed from there by the Labor Inspectorate. They saw serious evidence of organized human trafficking. The new workers come from Turkey and also work for the French contractor IREM-Ponticelli. They will soon also start work at the same yard, the Borealis site in the port of Antwerp.
